Dryer repairs across Sydney’s north
A dryer that runs but leaves clothes damp is wasting time and power. Vented, condenser and heat pump dryers each work differently, so we test the machine you actually have rather than guess at a part.
$198 weekday call-out, including GST. 30% surcharge on weekends and after 7pm.

Common dryer faults
- Not heating
- Vented and condenser dryers rely on elements and thermostats. Heat pump models rely on a sealed system, which fails differently.
- Taking too long to dry
- Blocked lint paths and condensers cause most slow drying. Sensors and airflow faults come next.
- Drum not turning
- A snapped belt, worn rollers or a motor fault can stop the drum while the machine still runs.
- Noisy or squeaking
- Worn drum rollers, bearings and belts are common sources of squeaks and rumbling.
- Stops mid-cycle
- Overheating protection, door switches and full water tanks can all end a cycle early.
- Showing an error code
- Note the code and the model number, and send them through when you book.
Try these first
Turn the machine off at the wall before you start. These checks could save you a call-out.
- Empty the lint filter and rinse it if it looks clogged
- Empty the water tank on condenser and heat pump models
- Clean the condenser unit if your model has a removable one
- Check that the vent or air path is clear and the room has airflow
Vented, condenser or heat pump
If you are not sure which type you have, look for a water tank or a condenser panel, or send us the model number. Knowing the type helps us work out whether the fault is likely to be airflow, heat or something in the drive.

Dryer questions
Why is my dryer running but not heating?
On many dryers it comes down to an element, a thermostat or a thermal cut-out. Heat pump dryers have a different system, so the model matters.
Why does my dryer take so long?
Lint and blocked airflow are the most common causes. Clean the filter and condenser first, then call us if nothing changes.
Is a dryer that overheats dangerous?
Stop using it and turn it off at the wall. Lint build-up with excess heat is a fire risk, so have it checked before running it again.
